Mission Statement

Technology education will be organized around a set of concepts, processes, and systems that are uniquely technological.

George Sisting is committed to facilitating and improving learning, in all sectors of education, through the appropriate application and integration of educational technology.

He views educational technology policies, practices and products as tools with which to provide supportive, successful, learning experiences to all students and faculty in all learning contexts.

George is committed to researching, developing, nurturing, supporting, evaluating and deploying educational technologies which reflect sound pedagogical theory; which are accessible to all learners and educators; which promote innovation in learning and teaching; and which celebrate best teaching/learning practices in all educational environments.

George Sisting also maintains an ongoing interest in promoting the professional development of educators in educational technology, particularly through the distribution of research, and in ensuring equitable educational access to intellectual property through the use of technology.

In order to implement my mission for technology education, three major initiatives will be provided:

  1. Curriculum resources for the parties involved.

  2. A staff development plan to support the curriculum resources.

  3. Recommendations for facilities and equipment to implement the revised curriculum.
