Mount Pinatubo is located in the Philippines. It lies about 55 miles north west of Manila. It is active. The last time it erupted was in the year I was born, 1992, after being dormant for 601 years. From June 12th to June 16th, 1991 the volcano erupted four times. Mount Pinatubo rises up to 4,875 feet. One time when it erupted a thick mud flow and killed at lease 800 people
