Vesuvius is located on the bay of Naples, 7 miles from the city of Naples
in Italy. It is 4,190 feet (1,303 kilometers). In 1994 Vesuvius erupted.
In 427, ashes emptied out of Vesuvius. So many ashes poured out from it
that the wind blew it as far as Constantipol (in Istanbul). In 1631 HOT
LAVA and BOILING WATER emptied on the foot of the volcano, killing about
4,000 people.
