Mauna Loa is located on a mountain on Hawaii and rises up to 13,677 feet. The last time it erupted it was in the year of 1984 but, is still active. Mauna Loa’s longest eruption was for 18 months in 1855-1856. In 1926, lava destroyed a fishing village. In 1984 an eruption sent lava flowing 4 miles and has 30 earthquakes a year!
