Cotopaxi is one of the wolds highest volcanos. It is located in the Andes mountains,about 40 miles south of Quito,Lima. Cotopaxi is an active volcano. Also Cotopaxi is nearly a perfect cone and the slopes are are about 30 degrees. Did you know that Cotopaxi's about 19,347 feet in other words it is about 5,897 kilometers. In 1877 a big eruption happened that made ash falls andmud flows that killed about 1,000 people. |
