The volcano is located in northern California. The volcano is inactive but the volcano has erupted several times between May 7 1914 & June, 1917 in May 1915 it produced lava and mud and an explosion. It last erupted in 1920s. It is 10,467 feet tall. The peak was named after Peter Lassen who blazed an early trail across it’s slopes.
