The volcano Mount Pinatubo is located in Luzon, Phililppines. Mount Pinatubo is 4,875 feet high and is very active. The last time it erupted was in 1991. Before that it hadn’t erupted for 600 years!
On June 15 lava flowed down the sides of Mount Pinatubo and left a crater about 2 kilometers wide.The avalanches damaged buildings, stopped rivers, and killed hundereds of people.
